Genre: pop-rock

About the song:
"You Found Me" is the announced first single from piano-rock band The Fray taken from their upcoming eponymous second studio album.
In an interview, Isaac Slade expressed his meaning behind the lyrics of the song:
“You Found Me is a tough song for me. It's about the disappointment, the heart ache, the let down that comes with life. [...] There’s some difficult circumstances my family and friends have been going through over the past year or so and can be overwhelming. It wears on me. [...] This song is about that feeling, and the hope that I still have, buried deep in my chest.” Furthermore, in a Reuters article about the new album, Slade says that the lyrics for "You Found Me" were written two and a half years ago, and that the song is asking the question about why bad things happen to good people after some of their friends and family went through very tough times.
The video was shot with Josh Forbes as the director. There has been no official word on when the video will debut. It was confirmed by BBC Radio 1 that the song will be used to promote the fifth season of Lost.

Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy

Genre: hard-rock

About the song:
"Chinese Democracy" is a hard rock song by Guns N' Roses, and the title track from their sixth studio album, "Chinese Democracy". The song is a big comeback for the group on the music market as their last single was released in 1999, although the song itself is actually 7 years old.
Axl Rose, the frontman, about the song: “The movie "Kundun" was on about the Dalai Lama. I was getting ready to leave, the TV was on and it was the end of the movie. And the Dalai Lama is about to cross over the border, to you know, be in exile for the rest of his life from his own country. And he looks back at the men who helped him, and you know he’s escaped the Chinese government. And he looks back at them and he waves and they wave at him. And then they show a scene where he looks back at them again and he sees every one of them dead. Because he knew they would be killed, and they knew that in helping him they would be killed. And you know the emotion in this next song, that’s all that’s about. It’s not like an intelligent song. It doesn’t have the answer to anything. And it's not necessarily pro or con about China. It's just that right now China symbolizes one of the strongest, yet most oppressive countries and governments in the world. And we are fortunate to live in a free country. And so in thinking about that it just kinda upset me, and we wrote this little song called "Chinese Democracy."

Madonna - Miles Away

Genre: pop

About the song:
"Miles Away" is the third single by Madonna from her eleventh studio album, "Hard Candy". Though it was first released as a promotional single in Japan due to its being the theme music for the Fuji TV drama Change. Apart from Madonna herself the song was produced by Madonna, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake & Danja. The music for "Miles Away" was written first, and Madonna began singing and writing the lyrics for the song after listening to it. Madonna said that the song was inspired by her then husband, Guy Ritchie, "but then you take it on. You realise so many people have to deal with long distance relationships. It's not easy. You have to work hard to make it work." When asked if the song was autobiographical, she said: "Probably in many respects most of the songs [on Hard Candy] are [autobiographical]. But in more of an unconscious way. I don't really think about telling personal stories when I'm writing music. It just comes. And then a lot of times, six months later, eight months later, I go, "Oh, that's what I wrote that song about." But that's when I play the song for lots of people and they all go, "Oh, I can totally relate to that." In "Miles Away" I'm tapping into the global consciousness of people who have intimacy problems.” The cover art for the single depicts passport stamps of her European dates from the 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour.

Genre: pop

About the song:
"If She Knew" is the lead single from Lemar's fourth studio album "The Reason".
Critics about this song: "Lemar's soulful tones, which pitch him somewhere between Luther Vandross and Lionel Richie, are what separates him from the conveyor belt of Simon Cowell discoveries. For some reason he keeps his best vocals in the locker on 'If She Knew' and replaces his usual laid-back R&B with a futuristic pop sound that wouldn't sound out of place on a Kanye record. The results are slick and satisfactory, but this sounds more like passable album fodder than a storming comeback track."

Snow Patrol - Crack The Shutters

Genre: pop-rock

About the song:
"Crack The Shutters" is the second single from the band's new album "A Hundred Million Suns".
Here's a quotation form the review in "The Observer": "If some people found that the 100,000 UK radio plays of Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars' began to get on their nerves slightly, imagine how angry the second single (at the time of writing at least) from A Hundred Million Suns is going to make them. It's called 'Crack the Shutters', and not only does it impel the listener to summon up the visual image of a naked Gary Lightbody starting the day with a joyful act of sexual congress (and one involving another human being to boot), it's also so insidiously catchy that on third or fourth hearing anyone not keeping a tight rein on their responses might all too easily find themselves inadvertently singing along with the lines 'Your hills and valleys/Are mapped by my intrepid fingers'."

Take That - Greatest Day

Genre: pop

About the song:
"Greatest Day" is an upcoming song by Take That from their upcoming album, The Circus. It is a big, rousing pop song that sounds like a cross between Snow Patrol and 'Rule The World' - in other words, we're going to be hearing a lot of it on the radio. The lyrics aren't exactly original, but lines like "Stay close to me, watch the world come alive tonight..." sound pretty good as Gary Barlow sings them, strings swelling and piano chords pounding behind him. Howard, Jason and Mark, meanwhile, are on harmony duties. Interestingly, 'Greatest Day' is scheduled for release on November 24 - the same day as Britney's 'Womanizer' comes out. This has got to be the chart battle of the year.

The single continues Duffy’s winning partnership with Steve Booker, who co-writes and produces ‘Rain On Your Parade’ after the duo’s hugely successful collaboration on number one smash ‘Mercy’. Smart and sophisticated, ‘Rain On Your Parade’ picks up where ‘Rockferry’ left off, pairing irresistible strings with one of Duffy’s trademark soaring vocals. Released at the same time as the new James Bond film, many listeners suggest that ‘Rain On Your Parade’ has a better Bond feeling in it than official James Bond 22 Soundtrack - "Another Way to Die".

It's a song about how amazing and inspired someone can make you feel and how much you want to be around them every day."
Director of the video, Luc Janin, was inspired by the annual Hindu ‘Holi’ festival and made it to the video. “The music and the song were so strong that any image trying to illustrate the lyrics too literally would have felt weak to me,” he says. “I thought it needed to be a completely abstract visualization that left room for individual interpretation.”

Genre: pop-dance-electronica

About this song:
"Dream On" is a single from Swedish artist and producer Christian Falks "People Say" album featuring Robyn on vocals. "Dream On" lyrics are by default an eerily poignant social commentary on todays broken Britain where street crime is spiralling out of control, alcohol and drug dependency are on the rise. Falk and Robyn capture this beautifully whilst providing a thought provoking slice of pop brilliance.

The Killers - Human

Genre: pop-rock

About this song:
"Human" is a new song by The Killers, and is released as the first single from the band's third studio album Day & Age. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Brandon Flowers described "Human" as "like Johnny Cash meets the Pet Shop Boys." Flowers stated that the song was created with Stuart Price during their work with him on the Sawdust album, and has changed very little since then. He confessed to not putting it on Sawdust as "it was too good".
There has been much confusion and debate over a lyric in the chorus of the song. This is regarding whether or not Brandon Flowers is saying "denser" or "dancer", when posing the question "Are we human or are we denser/dancer?" The Killers have yet to make any official statement regarding what the correct lyric is.
