'Better' is the second single by Irish boy band Boyzone from their compilation album 'Back Again'. Like many of Boyzone's hits, 'Better' is a pleasant but inconsequential pop ballad with a humdrum melody and lyrics from the Clinton Cards school of songwriting. It's also a cover - of a minor hit by Cornish singer-songwriter Tom Baxter. Boyzone have become the first boyband to feature a gay couple in their video for 'Better'. In the clip singer Stephen Gately teams up with a male actor for the touchy feely scenes. The other Boyzone members are paired with girls.
